The problem

A fast-growing fintech was tracking treasury across spreadsheets and bank portals. Nobody, including the founders, could see the company's real cash position without an afternoon of manual reconciliation, and forecasts went stale the moment they were finished.

Constraints

Bank-grade data sensitivity ruled out off-the-shelf dashboard tools. The system had to integrate with the client's existing accounting stack, and a small internal team would own it after handover, so it had to be maintainable, not clever.

What Trace built

A real-time treasury dashboard: live cash positions across accounts, rolling forecasts, and spending controls in one place. Role-based access, a full audit trail, and a codebase documented for the internal team taking it over.

Outcome

The finance team now starts the day in one dashboard instead of five sources, and forecasts update live instead of quarterly. Detailed metrics are under NDA; this study is shared with the client's permission, anonymized.
